Brittany Kugler and NoExit Performance are in the process of creating the Theatrical Assets Library, a network for performance organizations. The Library helps those orgs leverage our collective physical assets, space, skills, and avoid unnecessary expenses. Physical assets like sets, props, and costumes are critical to a successful performance, but maintaining the inventory is costly and time-consuming between performances. Renting or owning brick and mortar locations for rehearsal and performance are a substantial expense and at times simply unattainable. By centralizing storage and sharing stock and rehearsal space, money saved can be better spent paying talent and planning growth. The more theatres that join, the more assets will be available to everyone. Join us in creating a vibrant, successful Indianapolis performance scene!

The Library-Structure:

Yearly membership fee, based on income of performing organization-The membership covers access to assets doc, joint marketing, connecting to other artists (mixers, message board), and assets storage fees (rent).

Nominal fee per items/rental hour, static fee-This nominal fee covers repairs and space upkeep (cleaning, toilet paper, etc).

  • Your performance organization will have access to entire stock and rehearsal space.
  • The Library coordinates a series of professional development workshops lead by local and national artists.
  • Member organizations have the opportunity to collaborate on joint advertising and marketing. This includes Playbill-like programs, ticket sales, season packages, and industry ticket share. These opportunities are free with membership.
  • The Library hosts bi-monthly mixers and moderates a facebook community board to further connect artists in Indianapolis’ scene. These are free with membership.
